This house loves food.
In fact, I’m just going to put it out there that we — all 6 of us — might have a sugar problem.
Last week, I was
wasting time searching for good recipes on Pinterest. If there is a support group for Pinners, someone please sign me up. I absolutely love that site. My waistline, not so much. I originally started searching for recipes because we were kind of in a chicken rut — seemed like we were having the same thing week in and week out. But somehow, my pinboard has ended up with more sweets than meal ideas. ?? Weird how that happened. =)
So anyway, last week I found this recipe for Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cupcakes. Oh yes, that’s right. Cupcakes using the cereal. The same cereal that happens to be Bryce’s favorite. I’m not a fan of cinnamon but was just as intrigued to try these out. If all else failed, I knew that Bryce would eat all 24 of ’em….
These were a hit. A huuuuuuuuuge hit. Chris called them “stupid good”.
This isn’t the first recipe I tried off Pinterest though. I’ve made quite a few.
One of the firsts was this Crock Pot BBQ Chicken. Wasn’t all that impressed with that one. And, in another attempt to change up the chicken, I tried this Lemon Pepper Ranch Chicken. Holy schmoly was it good….kids didn’t complain about eating chicken that day. And these Slow Cooker Ranch Pork Chops were….eh. Superbowl Sunday I made these Baked Southwestern Egg Rolls. Absolutely amazing. If you’re looking for a quick and easy veggie, try these Roasted Cabbage Slices. I didn’t have the fennel seeds and it was just as good. Chris and I eat this one at least once a week. Soooo good! And yesterday, I made this Blueberry Breakfast Cake (incredible) and this Banoffee Pie (words can’t describe how amazing this is). Next up are these Meatloaf Cupcakes and this Jalapeno Popper Dip.
I may have just planned your meals for this week.
